RE: Vietnam versus Korea

First off, this is a very good post @nuoctuong.

Sadly, the U.S. has seemingly been stuck in a perpetual-war mode for most of the years since the stalemate. The soldiers who fought in battle are now men in their 6th and 7th decades of life; still with battle-scar wounds and stories.

War is ugly. War is brutal; and, I'm glad you have found solace in the aftermath after these many years.

someday will return to their former homeland to build a more prosperous Vietnam.

While nostalgic, most people tend to grow where they're planted. It's like those who came to America from other countries at the turn of the 20th century. They made America home. They built businesses and families. While their roots and cultures were embraced and maintained from a distant place, home became where their gardens grew.

Btw, best hopes for the two Koreas.

Best regards.

Peace.
