Proudly Ugandan
Yes, I am South African but I have just got back from living in Uganda for 2 years and so I'm not quite in touch with being proudly South African yet. Normally I would post something funny but seeing the state of the world we are currently in I feel some genuine positivity could be appreciated. Uganda is one of the most friendly and welcoming countries I have ever been in. Here are a few photo's that make me proudly Ugandan.

The famous Boda Boda/Pedal Boda which is one of the most effectively dangerous transportation methods in the world-
Last but not least has to be the importance of education. No matter where you are you will find from the most humble to the most elegant of schools housing the nations future leaders-
I will be ever grateful for the 2 amazing years I was able to spend in Uganda.
Sounds like you had an amazing time up north, Africa is so big it is a pity more of us don't venture further afield.
I had a similar friendliness in Zimbabwe and Mozambique, now I plan Namibia and if fortunate enough Botswana.

Honestly, Africa in general is so amazing!! South Africa has been polluted over the years sadly.
