There is sunshine ☀ in my soul today

Going from a hectic corporate environment to farming (which my husband and I knew NOTHING about 1 year ago........ It's been quite the journey!

We've had days of despair and worry and days of an abundance of happiness.......

We've had a taste of sweet success.....

This was our very first display in our local Spar with part of our crop 😍 we are so proud...... But we are battling to keep up with the positive response in demand for our product.

Yesterday we came to the realization that we had lost an entire crop (which is our livelihood) due to a number of reasons that could leave us very bitter and despondent....... Oh believe me...... Today we feel despondent BUT we still feel blessed.

We have so much to be grateful for every day..... Life...... Sunshine...... Smiles of kind people waving to us randomly while we slug away in our fields, praying while we're working but smiling at the fact that we get to do this adventure together.

Yesterday I took a picture of our worst traffic and realised once again just how blessed we are to have this opportunity despite our hectic challenges that come with farming.

In the last month I have pondered a children's song that I know.... How simple happiness really could be if we only gave it a proper go even during times of trials.

1. If you chance to meet a frown,
   Do not let it stay.
   Quickly turn it upside down
   And smile that frown away.😊🙃

2. No one likes a frowning face.
   Change it for a smile.
   Make the world a better place
   By smiling all the while.😊🙃

I guess for children it's so much more simpler than us adults make it out to be.

I decided to make an active choice and choose to be grateful and happy for the opportunity that we are able to start from where we are.... And try again! I'm confident and positive that we are going do this!
