The Painter

Have you ever heard the story of a painter who had a lover ? Her name he always left out of his work not wanting the world to know who she was until he finished her portrait. People came to him always peeking looking for small details trying to figure out who was that person , but as always the painting was empty. Of course the painter refused to tell anyone no matter what they offered to him , ,why is the canvas always empty and who is he painting. One day a little girl came by and asked the painter a question that he never hoped a little girl would ask him , she asked ,, Mr. Painter is the canvas empty because there is no painting ? " struck by her question he said to her ,, Yes little girl that is true , you see pictures and portraits they grow old the colour fades and the canvas rips , but words , words are everlasting ". So the little girl giggled and said ,,So you are writing something then Mr.Painter" and the painter turned the canvas arround revealing pages upon pages of paper stuck on to the back and asked the little girl ,, Do you want me to read the final painting for you" and she replied with a yes. So he started ,, I would paint you with colours but they would faint , I would use my brush on the canvas but it might break so I'm using words to let the world see just how beautiful a person can be , how you make me feel things all people want to feel how you have the most beautiful smile I layed my eyes upon , how your eyes are more wicked and more wild than the seven seas and how I am the captain that got lost in them forever sailing , how everything you say makes sense and how your hug makes me safe and warm , and most of all to remind you of your godly presence one that makes Aphrodites stare down from the heavens and be jealous of a simple human being yet so beautiful even the gods care to see " so the little girl smiled and said i think she will like it and ran off with a goodbye and in the room next door she was listening and smiling. The painter saw her in the mirror but pretended he didn't se a thing or that smile he wrote about , no , he finished his work and left the scene leaving her a note on top of all this.
