Short Vacation: Mamutik Island

This time I would like to share our short vacation at Mamutik Island, Sabah! Spent a good times on Sunday with friends and love is a very memorable and meaningful. A short trip to Island for a day trip must be awesome so here we go!

You can choose what time you want to be on the jetty as the boats are always available and ready to depart. Like us, we went at 9am and no need to wait for boat getting full as we already about 10 peoples. It took about 15-20 minutes from jetty at Kota Kinabalu city to arrive Mamutik Island.

The island was beautiful and a nice place if you want to do snorkeling and other water activities. There's 2 side and recommended to go on the left side of snorkeling area if you're not good in swimming or bring small kids as on the side, there's clear from choral and sea urchin. While the other side full with choral and more nicer but please be careful and try to not stepping on the choral etc.

Try out the Para Sailing and it is super duper fun, trust me! One of the best thing can be done on the island other than banana boat, bottom glass boat tour, etc. Please don't be scared if you try the para sailing or you won't enjoy much in the air. Once you try it, you will know those who did sky diving must had the big balls for did it. In that photo, wasn't high enough and there's a moment you're flying a bit high. Fuhh!

Wefie is a must because you want to keep it as a sweet memory. We transfer back to Kota Kinabalu city at 4.30pm.

Hi guys, a little bit information about budget. Depends with who you deal with and activities that you wanna join. You can ready the budget around RM150 include the return transfer from city to the island.

Return transfer boat: City - Island - City: RM25/pax include snorkeling equipment for a whole day.
Sabah Park Fee: Malaysian Adult - RM5/pax
Banana boat - RM20++/pax
Para Sailing - RM50++/pax
Food - RM10++/pax
Beverage - RM5++/pax
Snacks - RM3++/pax

More you can save if you cook and bring your own foods from home like us. Unless you don't have much time to prepare, list prices at the above can be used.
