What a great night experience at Selingan Turtle Island Sandakan
Good morning people... me and my guests had a great experience last night participating the Conservation programme at the island..
The work of as Tour Guide is not just a blessed somewhere on the beach, but also helping the wildlife and informing the reader of the importance of environmental protection.
Selingan Turtle Island Conservation Park is situated about 40km from Sandakan Nature City of Sabah Malaysia. It’s take 45mins boat ride from Sandakan jetty to the island.
All the visitors at the island where able to experience the Conservation process from laying eggs, tagging, measured, trasplanting the eggs and hatchlings release.
It’s been hundreds of years sea turtles exist on this earth. So without people's help, the chances survival of hatchlings are very slim in the wild. We took part in this challenging but the incredibly exciting process is helped the hatchlings get back to the sea, so the hatchlings not be eaten by they predators along the way...

Hi @sandakansabah76, are you the tourist guide for Selingan Island? I would love to go there if you could guide how to go. I'm from Labuan, i may need to travel from KK.. Dont know when yet but it will be during AA flight promo then I will purchase my ticket.
Hello @kulasago, yeah I am tour guide, I am doing guiding all over places in Sabah, if you wish to visit Selingan turtle island my recommendation is follow on tour operator either you can email to any legal tour operators that you may know in Sabah to book Selingan turtle island packages.

Must have been fun to see turtles laying eggs! I have never seen one in front of me like that before this.
