Very good talk @buzz.lightyear I think off gridders will be the opening avenue for the growth of alternative energy projects. Buying panels in bulk with a group is the key I've seen to keep costs down. There is also a secondary market of installations that have not worked so panels may have a year of field operation and are sold at a discount. Individual projects are key in my opinion. I really think a system like steemit just for alternative energy is a great idea. Keep the projects public to see the project progress and flag a bad actor to not add more funding if contributions are abused. The crypto provides the incentive/funding for someone's project and more contributions won based on project progress just as pools of creators get together to increase payout for the minnow content creators.
