Which Super hero was your favourite when you were growing up?
As for me, crossing the half century mark, the little boy in me still find super heroes fascinating and believe we all need one regardless of your age.
I grew up with great super heroes. In the 70's which was ages ago , character like Superman, Batman , spider man and incredible hulk dominated the world of cartoons on the TV Screen.
However I always had a thing for Iron Man. His alter ego as the flamboyant rich play boy was living his dream. He has the money to buy all the cool gadgets, fast cars and build a super lab to build his toys. HIs house embedded at the side of the mountain and overlooking the slender city was any billionaires dream house.
WHAT CHANGE?
Recently I was attending a mentorship session in learning digital marketing. My coach Desmond said that in order to be a great entrepreneur, you got to be like Nick Fury of the Avengers.
Hmm.. who the heck is Nick Fury? Honestly I am not good with names, so I did my scouting on google search. Ahaaa.... He is the team leader of the super heroes. Only now I took notice of his name and character.
What's so special about him? Isn't he just an agent from the government?
I began to dig deeper about this un-seemingly and un-interesting character to me but found something worth pondering.
He has indeed the characteristic to be a great executor of things. Though he does not have super power strength , see through visions and ability to fly, he has his unique quality of a great leader.
This is what I discover his unique ability:-
He has the ability to identify individual that has super power that can make a difference.
His persuasion skill is top notch and can motivate people even super heroes that doubts themselves to be of value to the world.
He knows how each super heroes can compliment each other in strengths and weakness.
He is decisive and firm in his decision making. A highly important trait of a leader when in time of crises.
He knows how to push the button of his team members to make the right move.
He has a game plan to face any crises and knows how to unite everyone to pursue it.
It's interesting that I have learn so much in from a fictional character. I believe that we all need super hero in our life. It is a way to pursue our higher self especially when everything around us seems to crumble and crash.
