Ok Bah! Open Mic Contest : Season Two , Week One

First and foremost, I wish to express my gratitude and thanks to @myach for the collaboration and hosting the season final showdown and congratulation to @michelleloh168 for being the winner for season one, Ok Bah ! Open Mic Contest.

This post mark the beginning of our second season. I am sure by now you are aware of the concept and how things goes in open mic contest. If you are new, here is what it is all about.

The Contest

Ok Bah! Open Mic Contest is created to encourage all steemian regardless of where there from to showcase their singing talent, to shine and importantly to have fun as a community.

The word used in the title "OK Bah" is a typical expression in Sabah, Malaysia to give encouragement or to support or approval of and act or action or in this case a performance.

The Format

OK Bah Open Mic is a weekly competition that runs for 3 weeks in search of 3 weekly winner by community voting. They will then compete on the final week for a showdown as a closing. Winner on each showdown will be named as the winner of a particular season.

Beyond Contest

This contest has bigger goal to achieve. Toward the end of 8 season , we hope to collaborated with all 8 season winners and others collaborators to come up with something special (to be announce) for everyone to enjoy. 100% of profit that will be made of the these collaborative project with all season winners and other collaborators, will be given to a charity or to implement a meaningful project that all steemian can be proud of.

The Rules

1. It is a singing sort of an open mic contest, you may choose to do it with background music, instrument, full band, karaoke, or perhaps without nothing at all, just your voice. it's really up to you. All i care is to hear you sing.

2. You choose your choice of song. in whatever language.

3. You need to video yourself singing the song, it doesn't have to be fancy, put up your phone, put on video click record and sing. as simple as that. Before you start singing, Hold up a Signage thats says "OK BAH Open Mic Contest " and dont forget to say hello to everyone. LOL

4. You are required to Follow me, Upvote and Resteem this post

5. You are required to tag #teammalaysia

6. Your entry post with a video of you singing will be required to place on this post comment.

7. Each Week , Entry Dateline will be given, contest entry that is accepted will then be place on a voting post for steemians to decide who will be the weekly winner. Winner will be selected by the highest number of vote.

8. If you didn't follow me, upvote this post and resteem, You will be disqualified. Second place will get it and so on.

9. If there is a tie break , Guest Judge will be call on to decide the winner.

10. If there is only one entry, that will automatically be the winner. One person 1 entry.

11. Winner of the week will not allowed to participate Week 2 and 3, however will be required to join the final showdown to determine season winner.

12. Winner of a season is not allowed to join other season until season 8 is complete.

Voting End : Midnight, 18th March 2018

Prize

The winner will get 6 Steem. In addition, whatever i collected on this Announcement post-payout, half of the SBD will be given to the winner.

Winner of final showdown received 20 steem.
