To anyone who have problems in approaching kids😕😕

Do you have problems with kids of your relatives during a visit?

They don't talk and smile to you? They avoid and hide themselves when they saw you?

Here are some simple steps which may help you to let the kids talk with you with their cute smiles on their face.

Cute right?

#1 Smile 😊

✔ You should be the one who start to approach them by smiling
✔ It will let the kids feel more comfortable rather than looking at your moody/emotionless face
✖ Do not act your smile, they can sense it whether it's from your heart (don't underestime them)

#2 Try and kneel down when talking to them

✔ Make sure that the height between both of you are almost the same
✔ This will show your sincerity to have a conversation with the kids
✔ This will also make sure that both of you are in a closer gap to have a conversation (secretsss)
✖ Do not let them look at you with their heads up, it creates a negative environment where it shows that you overpower him/her

#3 Be patient

✔ Most kids respond in a slower pace than adults because they need to process with their tiny little brain (but they will answer, well mostly)
✔ But if they do not answer your greetings, try ask them,"What's wrong?"/"Are you okay?"
✔ Create an environment that shows that it is okay for them to share their emotions

AND... LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

#4 Listen

(I know it's hard... But, try your best!)
✔ Try and close your mouth for just 10 seconds after they started to talk
✔ Let the kids do the talking (you can save your saliva too from nagging and blabbering😂)

This is actually my first post that about my knowledge and sharing about my experience in teaching.

Even though I know that I may not be experience enough from other teachers that have been working for decades in the education field, but I share these information based on my own experience and they are effective to me and my kids. So, I hope that you can try these ways and hope that they will be successful for you too.
