(Tutorial) My pedal chain when on recording and live stage
An honour i was invited by @yatnanar a founder since years ago, before this band completed in 4 piece band, it was only just two of us playing an ambient sound using our pedal-gear.
I add a bit story about my pedal chain since got couple of friends asking that what kind of pedal i use, so i decided to write up on steemit because it much more worth to share with a steemit users and at the same time it's a free promo for non steemit user. If they got interest.. then we will be have a new steemians to sign up! yiha..

My pedal chain From guitar to pedal is
- BOSS oc-3 octave
- BOSS line selector LS-2
- Electro Harmonix Crayon overdrive
- JHS angry charlie v2
- BOSS ps-6 Harmonist
- clean boost (custom from IS.PEDAL)
- Line selector custom( i diy it )
- Ibanez echo shifter es-2
- Mooer mod factory
- BOSS reverb RV-5
- Decibel eleven Power supply Isolated psu
- Solderless Lava Piston patch cable / Solderless pancake patch cable
Overdriven tone to high gain in single tap(How it works)
Some of our friends had ask before how do i switch my overdrive to high gain at the same time, it's from BOSS line selector actually. I studied it also from google and read the manual given when i got that pedal from my first start using it.

Look at the white knob is set A-B right?
that's it how it works i only put my patch cable to :
- Send and return A
- Send and return B
For example i set A is a pedal overdrive EHX overdrive and on B is a JHS angry charlie 'high gain'.
So when on live stage it really much helpful to me because there's no need to do tap dancing again switch on off pedal inbetween them, just with single tap i can set A to B or back from B to A.
earliest chain before
Octave and Harmonist
This two tone is one of my heaviest uses since 2013 . Why i highlight it's because it do the trick's when you need it. For example what i can explain is frequency, based on my experience using audio recording tools there's three side frequency i still keep in my preferences.
My Preferences
When on recording , sometimes we need to cut out or high-pass or maybe low-pass filter on anything that might be can trouble on your mixing before do finalize right? for example on (bass frequency 60 to 250khz ), (Midrange 500 Hz to 2 kHz) and (Treble 6 kHz to 20 kHz).
Live stage uses
Basically when on stage performances octave pedal is my focal point to backup drummer snare but not for the whole song, it based on what are bassist and rythm guitarist picked on that time. For Harmonist usually i do some trick such as whammy and high pitch , since i'm a fan of Shimmer reverb , i combined reverb with high pitch usually +12 pitch note to playing an ambient sound. It works for me and maybe you should try it!
MODULATION/ECHO/REVERB
Why i compile this into one because sometimes i just stack three of them. On Mooer mod factory there's are various function only 2 mod that i use, firstly stutter effect and other one is vibrato effect.
SUMMARY
Music is just like space galaxy we can't describe it in single words wether it is WRONG or RIGHT. Each of audience have their own interest what kind of music are they with it and most important is don't judge it but have fun with it. Maybe it help a bit those who need guidance for pedal chain usage and musical focal with audio reference.
Thanks for reading and i hope it with a bit of my experience as performer, it can give some spirit those who need it. STEEM ON!
