Oreo is longhairs cat, the vet assistant told me he might be mainecoon because of his 17Lb body size but I google it and according to his only layer of coating I think he is Turkish Vans. He is my baby, I guess it doesn’t matter what breed he is. ^^
Longhairs cat can be very beautiful but hard to take care of, owner must has a lot patience for his grooming, I did his groom mostly every day before his dinner. Since it’s Spring coming, I decided to gave him a short cut, here the lion-cut look. I did it myself, but it took me more than 3 days to get it done, because of Oreo behavior for grooming. 😅😅😅
我家Oreo是領養的 所以我並不知道他是什麼品種。因為他的17磅體積，獸醫助理認為他是緬因貓，但是根據他只有一層的毛髮，谷歌提供資料顯示他是土耳其貓。這其實也不重要，無論什麼品種，他是我寶貝，也已經進入我的生活。
長毛的貓咪可以很漂亮，同時也需要主人更多的時間照理，我每天都會在晚飯前給他梳梳毛髮，除了梳去脫落的毛更重要的是不讓毛髮打結。春天來了，於是我給他理了一頭的獅子型，身體部位是極端的毛髮，而頭部和尾巴的尖端卻留著長毛，我自己理的，可是卻因為他非常討厭理髮，結果花了我至少3天的時間給他慢慢的整理。話說，有些部位還在整理中。。。😅😅😅
姐，你的貓貓好重呢，17LBS，我兩隻加埋才17磅了～😅😅

I love Oreo! And his new look! You did this yourself? Bless you! We were quoted $150 to get a lion cut on our Maine Coon, so I just brushed Merlin and detangled him as best I could. Three days, I can believe. Our vet sold us some pills, three for a ten-pound barn cat, to tranquilize him in order to give him a bath. It didn't work. That old man Tommy was unable to stand but boy he could still scratch. Tommy!

Hi Carol, thank you for stop by. Yes, I did his grooming since last year. I bought him to Petsmart 2 years ago, they charged $75+tip, not every Petsmart did, you can try your local one.
Oreo won't mind for bath but drying with hair dryer, it would take me hour for his bath and hair dry, but after that he looks gorgeous. Gotta remember trim his claws before bath tho.
Trim the claws - yes! - if those pills had really knocked out Tommy, just a bit more, I might have trimmed his claws. Tommy was old and tough when we rescued him from a horse barn, covered in fleas, sneezing black matter, and my husband was in shock and awe that I had salvage this creature from the death pile. Tommy has two good years with us in spite of his derelict condition. He had to put be put down when he was no longer able to stand or drink water or eat. Tommy! The old ginger tom. The Man. The cattest of all cats.
