Big Catch

Hello music fans. For this blog, I am going to switch gears. I am not only a big fan of music, I also have another passion.

This passion is called fishing. I have enjoyed fishing since I was a little kid. My dad (who is not a big fan of fishing) has taken me fishing through the years in hopes of "the big Catch"! Fishing might seem Like a simple activity but, believe me, it’s not so simple for a guy with Cerebral Palsy in a wheelchair.

For about the last 5 years, I have found a new fishing partner. Her name is Diane. We met about 6 years ago through a home health service. Diane also enjoys fishing. She lives in the country and has a nice pond.

I can get close to the water in my wheelchair which makes it easier. I have caught bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie out of her pond. I have also caught a few turtles and was disappointed because I surely thought it was a big fish! I not only like to catch fish, I also love to eat them. Diane and I have had many fish fries at my house and at her house through the years. The newest development in our fishing adventures is that we now are cleaning our own fish.
