Chez Monique's Place on The WCT, A Potential Distant Memory
For those that do not know, a very favorable place on the West coast Trail to many travelers may come to change. The story, from Dan Millard is as follows:
Just a Heads up, Monique Knighton will not be leaving the HospitalSource
she went in for surgery around Dec 11 on the 15th she had one on her stomach for blockage, 2 days later they did another for clots, then on the 22nd they did the last for poisening ( septist).. her organs are shutting down and is just a matter of time.. they have her medicated and sleeping lots,
I had only met Chez Monique once in July of 2016 when I went on the trail, and the taste of the burger after a few days of freeze-dried backpackers meals, you just cannot compare it to anything else. So everyone that had ever gone on the West Coat Trail will remember this place (assuming you stopped there) but you may not know about this. If you want to say something nice to the family then Facebook would be better than here (as then the family will actually see it) so instead I am curious if anyone here has done the West Coast Trail (Vancouver Island in B.C. Canada) and and if you have tell me what yo thought of it? Did you start at Bamfield or Port Renfrew?
