RE: ATO Targeting Small Business as "Low Hanging Fruit"

in #teamaustralia7 years ago (edited)

I've been following the series on The Age. It's pretty brutal!!!

Facebook paid a GST of 70K in 2016. My business turns around quarter of a fraction of what facebook earns from Australia. Before Facebook wasn't paying any GST. Not a word on cracking down on Apple, Facebook. The government opens up everything for them to expand and smash small businesses. If this is not imperialism, can you tell me what is?

My story with ATO is set to snowball very soon. Hopefully I'll write on this one tonight after a few glasses of wine. My entire life is upside down because of what happened a few years ago with the tax office. If u have deep pockets, you can challenge things...it's pretty scary actually...But thanks for sharing your story bud. it always helps when u hear another victim's story!

Half the battle with these huge corporations, is they tend to make generous political donations to whichever party is in power to discourage them from making the rules fairer.

Do you think Facebook makes political donations? I doubt it. Facebook thinks they are above the good lord. Mark Zuckerberg's cotton t-shirt and blue jeans attire gives me the impression that he believes he's holier than thou. He can only receive and can never give. Just like how when Jesus worked in Jerusalem, he believed he was god's son. Little Mark thinks he's god's grand father!

Not Facebook specifically, at least not in Australia anyway. My comment was more about big business in general.
