The Melbourne Winter Sun
Yo yo my Steemies, wattup?
It's Summer here, in Melbourne, Australia.
The sun is out and bright, in the azure blue sky.
So why is it so freaking cold? Haha.

Hey @bobaphet, fellow Melbournian here. The weather is crazy here today. It reminds me of my travels through Arizona, where it's minus 4 degrees (celsius....sorry not sure what the farenheit conversion is) during the day, but not a cloud in the sky. Was such a trip to get sunburnt when it was that cold! Great to connect btw!
Hi @antihustler, thanks for stopping by. I thought I knew all the Melbsteemians.
Are you on the @teamaustralia discord at all?
Peace.
howdy there @bobaphet! similar looking sun here as well in North Texas but supposed to get up to 96F today so slight difference there! looks are indeed deceiving!
One needs to look beyond looking ;)
Peace.
Our past winter was kinda like that with the sun shine but we were getting some snow. But was chilly. I would say it is about at least 60F there from the video. It still never seems as cold as I remember when I was growing up but everything seems different now compared to then. Cheers brother.
Always a pleasure to see you in my comments brother :)
Peace.
haha yeah I know this one all to well as I spent time in the north and south hemisphere often. Generally chasing the summer but there are times when i need to endure winter. Winter in South Africa and Austrialia is actually pretty mild in comparison to Europe. We generally get sunshine every day with a little chill in the air. But come midday the sun is awesome and you can easily do things outside. When your two feet deep in snow. outside isnt a place you want to spend much time unless its for winter sports.. which i don't care much about personally.
Yeh, growing up as a kid in Germany, I used to love the snow because I could go play with my mates on our sleds. But as an adult, it's just plain hard work involved in anything you want to do. If I want snow, I can go to the mountains in winter, but I don't have to deal with it as a daily chore like getting to and from work :)
Peace.
Hey @bobaphet. I live in Northern hemisphere. At this time the summer is at its peak and you could experience days that are as hot as 50°C.It feels good Seeing you stand there and enjoy the bright sun of winter.(more summer is coming down under so you don't have to worry much.
We also do have very chilly winters but as our country falls closer to the equater we do get plenty of sunrays that makes it bearable in winters.)
Where abouts in the Northern hemisphere?
Peace.
@bobaphet we are actually a bit far by neighbours. You have interest in cricket ,right? . You know about Border-Gavaskar trophy ?
So you are from India?
Where abouts?
Peace.
Yes, Sir, I am from New Delhi, India.A brand new member of the steem community.
You didn't tell, you love cricket or Football?
Actually, I don't follow either.
I study the teachings though of a Guru whose lineage goes back to Ganeshpuri.
Peace.
A beautiful day here in the west of Tas just like your day :)
Any heat your way though ?
Peace.
Got up to around 12° i think though if you were not in the sun it felt much colder and crisp.
Haha crisp. That's an understatement :P
Peace.

Yeah dunno about the meetup. I'm a bit of a hermit crab.. so I'll see if I've got the courage to meet the team of uh..#teamaustralia Steemians. Haha.
Gong's good! The Blue Mile has reopened after renovation, so its tempting to get back out there.
Nick.
