"Elsa" passed on today. She was with us for a year. My daughter had tears streaming down her face as though her best friend passed on. I admit that the Hamster was a feisty one. My daughter's question was " What happens to Elsa now mummy?".....

Of course I had to place the scene right so that there were no lasting long term psychological effects. So mummy said, " Elsa will be going to "Animal Heaven" Darling. Daughter says " But how will she go there?". " She will grow wings darling and be an Animal Angel"....

That, my friends, provides a satisfactory reply to the mind of a 6 year old....

Having said that, I do miss Elsa the feisty one... Hope I do meet you in Animal Heaven too along with my other dogs...
