funny things with my Traumatic Brain Injury

No two Traumatic Brain Injuries are alike.  There might be similarities even very close similarities.  It doesn't mean the same treatments will work on the similar cases.  Most people that are Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivors have trouble with memory.  There are a lot of different kinds of memory functions in the brain and the one that is most often affected is the short term memory.  I always find it funny when people that I know and love, who know I have a TBI and problems with short term and my recall, tend to tell me to remind them of something.  For instance, even after a long conversation about my TBI one of my siblings will say "hey, remind me to...".  To me that is hilarious because they know I have trouble with short term memory and recall.  This happens continuously with friends and family.  Sometimes even directly after discussing my memory issues.  Realistically, it sucks.  Nonrealistically, it's hilarious.
