Salvage the core material from a fused tube light choke. Arrange them in a 'C' shape so that there is a gap between them. Place a coil with 1200 turns (30-guage) of Insulated Copper Wire. Attach a 60-Watt bulb is series as a "Resistance" to drop the voltage. Stick two ferrite magnets on a cycle spoke and mount the spoke on two supports so that magnets stay in the gap of the coil. Now connect the coil (in series with the 60-W bulb) directly to 220-Volts AC with a switch. On switching on the pulsating magnet field within the gap will spin the two ferrite magnets like a motor. The spoke needs to be twirled by hand to make them go. This motor will spin in either direction. CAUTION: This experiment should be strictly done under ADULT SUPERVISION.
