Food Sharing #135 - Soban Korean Restaurant @ Chatswood, Australia

Hi Everyone,

I love Korean food and I found that there aren’t many good ones in Chatswood. Though there is one decent one I find has a nice decent menu and most importantly as two of our favourite dishes. There are a few suburb which is known for nice Korean restaurants like Eastwood or Strathfield but something close to home, this one is our pick!

Let’s have a look at the menu first. They have an extensive menu and there is just a small portion of it. There are just too many things to choose from.

My other half normally is a meat lover but when we come here, we will most definitely order the chive pancakes which consist of just vegetables and flour. It is packed with chives (a lot of it!) in flour coming out like a pancake. I can’t stress enough how much we like this dish. The other things we ordered were Bo-ssam, a seafood noodles soup with extra noodles for the kids and a seafood tofu hot pot for myself. Here comes the food along with the side dishes. They already started digging into the pancake before I can take a picture!

Let’s start with the chive pancakes. Lots and lots of them in the dish and at some point you feel like there are more chives than flour. It was delicious! The other thing we love is Bo-ssam which is special pork fatty meat marinated and then served with pickled vegetables. There are many restaurants that don't bo-ssam here maybe due to the work involved so it's great they have it. My seafood tofu hotpot is great to balance out the chives pancakes which are a bit dry. I like something soupy with it. Lastly, my kids love their seafood noodles (we order extra noodles as they love the noodles!). The soup is not very salty and they love the vegetables in there and I eat the seafood.

The restaurant is inside Westfield so there is free parking. There is plenty of seating and service was acceptable. Price wise is considered average. You can consider ordering the set meals to save some costs and they have an extensive choice.

大家好，今天想帶你們到一家位於 Chatswood 一家韓國餐館. 這裡有我們很喜歡的韭菜煎餅. 我的老公平常愛吃肉但都為這道菜來這裡吃飯. 我們家了一份韭菜煎餅，韓式五花腩, 海鮮豆腐湯還有特大海鮮湯麵給小朋友吃. 這裡的韭菜煎餅真是很棒，很多韭菜，有時候覺得韭菜比米粉多. 五花腩配醃蘿蔔我們也很喜歡，可以不停吃這道菜. 因為煎餅我覺得比較乾所以喜歡加一個海鮮豆腐湯配在一起吃. 最後特大湯麵就是小朋友吃的，湯不會太濃，他們很喜歡吃 - 我就吃海鮮因為他們年紀都比較細. 餐館是在 Westfield 裏所以不用擔心停車問題.
