Noodle Heaven and Weekly Treats- Yamie Panda

Who would have thought that behind student's dormitories and mid-sized apartment, you'd find piquant soft noodles with rich soup flavors?

This paradise is called Yamie panda, a local noodle bar that has flair serving noodle lovers with traditional Chinese ambient and respect to the traditional taste. There are already 11 outlets spread throughout the city. Though, my favorite one is located at Shopping center called Lippo.

But before we talk about how inconceivable the menu are, let's talk about the atmosphere.

All the outlets have similar decorations. The walls are painted and decorated with vivid red colors with hint of Chinese ornaments. The seating are organized as four and two tables with rustic chinese interior. Sometimes, the customer will be entertained by Chinese songs that boost the atmosphere.

As the customer entered the bar, they would have to stand in the line and choose the noodle types. There are plenty options from traditional Chinese style to fusion and local style. As side dish, there are plenty wonton's to pick and to delight your palate.

Now, let's talk about the menu. The noodles served are home-made and it compliments the garnish and the other ingredients on it. Most of the menu offered will include soft shredded chicken with mellow soy sauce flavors, a bokchoy, sprinkle of crispy onion and finely chopped spring onions.

There are two size offered, medium and large. I always recommend ordering a large bowl because you will crave more after tasting how heavenly the mixture of the slippery noodle with the noodle soup (a mixture of chicken broth with pepper and spring onion). The noodle is also often served with steamed wonton and crispy fried wonton.

The side dish that I ordered this time was spring rolls. For three of mini vegetable spring rolls, it was a bit premium. The rolls though, was perfectly fried and it was not greasy.

The meal is not complete without the condiments. There are three types of sauce offered in this place. The spicy sauche with chili seeds, medium spicy and sweet soy sauce. I personally will recommend to mix them all, add a spoon to the noodle bowls.

I often take my friend to this place and also going on my own. This place, hands down is one of the best noodle in town. Whenever I have a difficult week, I would visit this place, disconnecting myself from the rest of the world. The overall vibe is great for writing a journal, focusing on important work, even simply having long chit chat with colleagues. So, this is also serve as comfor food, much better options than pizza and take away burgers.

It is hard to turn down a place with great ambient. Though usually, places like this are meant to be order and go, this is an exception. You can leisurely sitting and enjoy the richness flavors of great selection noodles offered at reasonable price.
