I have been putting off going to this cafe but finally made it today. This is located near our place so it is convenient to go here.

They managed to make the staircase going up to the cafe pleasing by painting a mural of ethnic theme and the face of a famous tattoo artist or mambabatok, Apo Wang-od.

Wood is what the place is made of. It is bright and well lit. They accentuated the place with recycled items such as bottles and table decors made of used plastic containers.

There is a wall for your messages that you will write on a sticky note and post it.

Looking at their menu, there are choices for hot and cold refreshments, pasta, rice meals, desserts, etc. I came here for desserts.

The prices are cheap which is very tempting to try a lot but I only came here for one thing. I ordered banana split and cupcakes.

Their is a separate room where there are no chairs. There are tables but you have to sit on the floor.

Here you will find books, chess and other games you can play to make your stay more fun and enjoyable. There is also the game of sungka which is a popular game here in our country.

There were paintings and other decors on the wall as well.

I like these table pieces. The tree-like decor is made out of plastic. Different designs can be seen on every table. There is also a tiny board where the wifi password is written.

After approximately 5-minute wait, my order arrived.

I haven't had banana split in a while. This gave the familiar taste I am looking for. The ice cream is not that sweet and the other ingredients of choco syrup, mallows and sprinkles of chocolates gave the additional sweetness. I chose three flavors of ice cream which are mango, vanilla and chocolate. Otjer choices a strawberry and ube.

For its price, the cupcakes are okay. Just like the ice cream, the other ingredients of pretzels, syrup and sprinkles gave the punch of sweetness it needs.

I like the wooden bowl with woven rim. It adds more to the presentation of food.

All in all, the place is comfy and the price is cheap. Quality is not good or bad but for the price range, it is what should be expected.

Kafe Gipas is located at FA 186 km. 5 Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet second floor of Family Store. This is across East West Bank. Parking is a challenge so better come here through public transportation. By jeepney, alight jeepneys via La Trinidad and ask to be dropped at East West Bank km. 5. You can also take a cab.
