Review of Jumbo King
Having been on a healthier Indian food diet, I have been craving meals that aren't vegetable curry and chapati. Hence pasta cooking yesterday, and a burger for Lunch today at Jumbo King.
Jumbo King is a chain of restaurants in Mumbai that serves Vegetarian burgers. There is no seating. However there are high tables for you to stand and eat your meal.
This jumbo king is located near Parel Local station. This is my second visit to the place. It's newly opened so I haven't been more times.
The menu doesn't have a lot to offer. Even for a vegetarian place, it does 3 types of patties - corn and spinach, potato, and paneer.
I chose the cheese jumbo king, no meal. They didn't have coke zero or coke light. there's options for fries and ice cream.
The burger was served in 5 minutes. And I ate it in 2. It cost less than 50 US cents, 30 rupees to be precise.
There were also some condiments on the table and it couldn't get more local. you'll never guess what they are, so here's a pic -
Lol, a local spice called gunpowder and fried salted chillies.
Regarding my opinion, the menu is limited so doesn't confuse you. They have daily value offers, specific burgers for the day on slight discount like sub of the day. Service is super quick, the food is super cheap and quality isn't compromised. Of course portions are small but cant expect more for that money.
The potato patty in my burger was slightly spicy which went well with cheese and white bun. i will recommend cheese in your burger to bring the heat down a bit if you don't like spicy food. The restaurant itself was quite clean and I don't mind coming again.

wow, the chili looks spicy.... do they?
Well when they fry it and put salt on it, it feels less hot in the beginning but they can be hot. The red powder is too hot.
