Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of January 14th 2020
Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday card readings and the second one for 2020! I started posting these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They're by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today's reading is for the week of January 14th 2020.
Since my readings are a little different than how some other readers on other social media do them (though it's definitely not my original idea - I was inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here's a quick breakdown on how this works...
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three! When you've decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don't be worried if you don't happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I should also mention...
Here are the backs of the cards (it's a new photo every week). Take a moment to take a deep breath, clear your mind, center yourself, and focus. When you're ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of my post for your message.
Now, to make sure you don't see the picture of the front of the cards before you've made your choice, I'm adding a graphic here as a sort of a spacer/spoiler prevention. I was able to get some shots of this past Friday's Full Wolf Moon, and thought it would be cool to use of them to update a graphic I created four years ago for Virginia Woolf's birthday on January 25th.
Finally, it's time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards...
...and the messages for each card are...
1. Six of Cups
Happier times. You’ve discovered, or rediscovered something you love. Maybe a hobby long forgotten, or a person you’re reconnecting with. You now recognize how much you care. This is the start of something beautiful and meaningful – cherish it. This may also be a reminder that if you’re in the middle of some dark times, and you’re longing for the the idyllic days in your past, stop wasting your energy wishing for what’s gone. Don't look back - focus instead on the positive memories, and use them to inspire new ones.
Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Cups was last seen, in the second position, almost four months ago on September 24th, 2019.
2. Queen of Pentacles
Nurture your dreams. Sometimes it's hard to hang on to your vision for a brighter future, especially when it seems everything is going wrong and everyone is against you. But with a little confidence in yourself, and a lot of positive attitude, you can do this! Be the supportive and caring motherly type for your own self for a change, and keep in mind (as the saying goes), “Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Pentacles was last spotted, in the third position, last month on December 3rd, 2019. This also happens to be only the fourth time the Queen of Pentacles has made an appearance on a Tarot Tuesday.
3. Ten of Cups
The Rainbow Connection. Sometimes it's hard to remember the good things in our lives, because we spend so much time struggling to overcome the bad. This card is a good reminder that our happiness doesn't come from money, it comes from within (although if anyone ever offers me a winning lottery ticket, I wouldn't refuse - LOL!). Take a closer look at the people in this card - they're wearing simple clothes, have a simple home, and they're as blissed out as they come. Stop looking outside of yourself for your happiness, and start focusing on being happy. Listen to that little voice in your head, telling you that your dreams can become a reality. Like the song says about that voice - I've heard it too many times to ignore it / It's something that I'm supposed to be /Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me."
Tarot Tidbit: The Ten of Cups was last seen, also in the third position, about four months ago on October 1st, 2019. Prior to that, it hadn't been seen on a Tarot Tuesday for just over a year.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of January 14th 2020! Bright blessings to you!

Went for number 1 this week! I was pretty excited for the farmers to be back after the loooong 2 week holiday market break, does that count as rediscovering a love? 😂😂
