Tarot Card of the Day: Nine of Swords
Today is a significant card, the Nine of Swords:
Times they are a-chainging, and it certainly may not be comfortable where you are, but you're nearly there. The Nine if nine tenths of the way through a cycle, and it is, after all, darkest before the dawn. So sit with your energy and ride it through, don't be like the chap in the picture, sleeplessly worrying his life away.
And while you worry, those fears become enlarged unrealistically until they haunt you, as we can see from this Nine of Swords from the Fairytale Tarot (and let's see this noe in bigger mode to really appreciate it):
Here, the fears of the "dreamer" become real. And in seeing our fears so viscerally, they not only grow but are seen and experienced in massively distorted form: their truth - and often their severity - is exaggerated.
So what is the real truth of your fears? The crypto market for example is going through some real travails of late; a good time to buy, a test of nerves to hold as the wisdom goes. But we are humans, not strings of digits, and we necessarily have a tendency to worry. Maybe the nine is the most clear indication here - that the dawn is around the corner if only we hold strongly.
So who is that phantasmagorical figure? Is it ourselves, but our Shadow? In addition, we ar called upon to remember the roses on the quilt of the person in the Rider Waite image: an invitation to stay true to ourselves and our ideals.
