How Long Before China's Exports Are Hammered By Trade War
Analysts are going back and forth with the United States/China trade war.
The question on the minds of many is when will the tariffs imposed by President Trump start to affect the Chinese? So far, on the surface, it looks like they are holding up fairly well.
Notice it says on the surface. When looking closer at the situation, the disaggregate data tells a different story. This runs about two month behind meaning we have not see the data with the bulk of the tariffs. The last reading was for the July numbers.
That month registered 40% YoY growth with many companies front-ordering to beat the tariffs. August numbers should tell a completely different story.
