Part 1

Sometimes when we run out of time and every single minute can change our life, then it's the most challenging and creepy experience. My dear reader, this novel shows you how solitude can be a mercy sometimes, you may want to change your boring life. However, sudden changes that occur in your life can be worse than your daily routine! This the case of our hero John Adams who is perhaps the most unfortunate person on Earth, and one night has changed it all! He'll find himself struggling to stay alive, not to reveal the dark truth.

The end of a journalistic day means six p.m. for all the employees at “The Magazine” except for Mr. Adams. For him, the day finishes at nine p.m., and this is due to the question he asked once about the reason beyond his salary’s discounts. After that, the editor in chief reminded him of the terms of the contract he signed. To be honest, no sane man follow these insane terms. But, the editor in chief pushed him to accept them by force otherwise he would have fired him from the magazine team.
Why didn’t John read the contract well before signing it? That day, he tried hard to hide his sharp looks behind sunglasses he was wearing. The sunglasses prevented him from seeing well. Since then, he has paid a lot the price of this attempt.
The problem is that his real job doesn’t require more than two hours because john doesn’t work the same as Accidents’ journalists do. He’s just a normal writer charged of writing a single page. In fact, his task is limited in copying the news of accidents from other newspapers and social media. He only add some images and changes the titles… And nothing else!
John’s routine is like this. He arrives at his desk at 9:30 a.m., sit on his uncomfortable chair for at least ten hours until he can’t fell his ass before he goes back to his apartment. And perhaps sleep if the guard’s child is quiet on that day.
However, this day is different. He has been waiting the whole day for the night to come when he’ll be visiting the editor in chief. Especially that this last looked quite angry when he asked john to join him.
“Have a seat John, I want to inform you about a bad new. You know how much we appreciate your efforts all these years long. It’s not my decision as you know. Goodbye my dear. I wish you a good luck elsewhere“. He was imagining this scenario in his head. But who knows, perhaps there’s another matter this time.
Suddenly, the phone rang. John picked it up.

• John: Good evening sir!
• The editor in chief: I want you to come, now!
  The conversation was too short. John got up and starred at his desk with a farewell look, then walked to the office.
  It’s 11 p.m. right now, and John is in jail. Don’t be ridiculous, he didn’t kill his boss for example. He’s now in a journalistic mission. This is his first time since he has joined the “The Magazine”.
• The editor in chief: Mr. Adams, have you ever had a visit to a jail?
  Before the Accidents’ writer had the chance to answer, the editor in chief continued his sentence and said:” Tonight, I want you to get there, you’ll have an interview with a sentenced to death. A storm of ideas and thoughts attacked John’s mind, the questions which came to his head were answered directly by the boss without any need to ask.
• The editor in chief: Do you still remember the accident, that occurred one year ago, and whose details were written down in our magazine. It was a horrible crime. The condemned to death acknowledged the fact that he broke his kid’s head with a hammer. But, he still ignores that he will be executed soon. My fellow who works in the prison service told me this. That’s why you shall hurry, I want you to meet him and have a discussion with him before he dies. Your task require you to find out what this murderer has hidden all this time long. In other words, you must know the reason why such a man will commit a crime in his own son.
  After that, the boss explained to him each step he has to take. He will now move to jail, and will look for Mr. Robert who’s responsible for the Prison’s service. This last will give him a locked room, and will provide him with an hour to interview the history professor who killed his son. Actually, it’s not an easy task since the murderer absolutely refused to talk to everybody last year. And even the detectives failed to discover the hazardous secret this killer man hides. Tonight, in one hour’s time John has to convince the man to change his mind in order to know why the man killed his son in such a hideous manner.
