It's called insider trading

When someone knows a stock will skyrocket at 11:00 am tomorrow. The insiders buy as much stock as they can, wait till the peak of the buying spree at 3:00 pm or so and sell for a killing. This, unfortunately is illegal for some of us. It is also highly unlikely any of us would get that kind of info with that much notice.

What if the insider info were published on CNN about an hour before the stock went up?

I think, the stock would shoot up as soon as in info were published.

They above is the example ^^ - Next comes the idea.

It's called front running

and it happens here on Steemit. I do it. bots do it, any voter can.

Somebody (me) knows when my post will be hit by a massive vote, because I am paying for it!

You can vote on my post and get higher rewards later because whales will be here to vote soon.

There are also bots watching for posts like this one, they vote after you do and add to your rewards!

The last thing to happen is a huge vote coming from @booster.

Tomorrow, I will find the best comment on this post based on number of votes.

Then I will pay @booster to come back and vote on that comment for a huge comment reward.

This is front running because we know that @booster will come (with some delay).

In this case, I am CNN and I am telling people that I have programmed @booster to vote here.

We can all win knowing what is going to happen before it happens.

I won't know the exact time he will vote but it will be worth between $20 and 35

but totals can reach $150 or more

As everyone knows, the first people who vote on this post before booster comes are all winners.

We are doing that on purpose. Fun and everyone wins.
