When Mumtaz Mahal was still alive, she extracted four promises from Shah Jahan.first, to build the taj; second, he would marry again; third, that he would be kind to their children and fourth, that he would visit the tomb on her death anniversary.

PROMISE TURNED INTO A REALITY
After undergoing the mourning for two years Shah Jahan decided to immortalize her memories in the form of a monument. Finally, after the efforts of 20,000 workers Taj Mahal was turned from a dream into a reality,

To fulfill the promise he had made to his wife Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal. Watching Taj Mahal monument in itself is a tribute to love. Taj Mahal is located at the city of Agra in India. Entering through the beautifully curved "Darwzza" or the main gateway, you reach to" the Bageecha" or the garden covered with lush green trees and fragrant flowers. On the left of the taj is the "Masjid" built with red sandstones. Prayer is done here and on the right side of the taj is "naqqar khaana"or the rest house.

Crossing the grassy carpet we reach at the tomb, built with snowy- white marbles, at first glance it gives a peaceful feeling to the soul.
