It astonishes me that some people can trust politicians and main stream media these days. It's as though they've been living in a different dimension which I wasn't invited to. If a person continually lies to someone it should be safe to assume that the liar would soon enough not be listened to. This doesn't seem to happen with TV and programmers (many journalists). For some reason people repeatedly come back for more. Thanks for the article.
Part of it is that theres a sucker born every minute. People born after 9/11 happened are now high school aged and soon they'll be voting too. Do they know what happened in Syria under Obama? In Iraq under Bush? In Vietnam under Johnson? There are adults today who never knew the USSR at all, we have a completely different worldview than those who lived through that era of propaganda. We all have our own unique path toward understanding the world, we cant be surprised that new people are being awakened all the time, that's just how this works.
The other part is that corporations control our culture and ensure that we receive culture that fits the corporate agenda. We need a revolution of the people to refuse the culture forced on us by corrupt corporations. I think that's the only way we'll be able to get out of this hole. We need a mindful revolution to actively reject the entire corporate media's influence.
