Swiss bank started offering exchange and storage services for Bitcoin and Ethereum
Arab Bank Switzerland.
As explained in the bank, now with its help wealthy individuals will be able to acquire two major cryptocurrencies.
"We firmly believe blockchain will transform the financial industry as we know it. We intend to be among the first banks to offer digital asset services to our clients in a secure and regulated environment," said Arab Bank Switzerland CEO Serge Robin.
To provide custodial services, the bank engaged the Taurus Group startup, which integrated its own cold storage solution, TAURUS-PROTECT, into the banking infrastructure.
In August, the Swiss Financial Markets Supervision Authority issued licenses to Seba Crypto AG and Sygnum, a financial services company focused on the cryptocurrency industry, to conduct banking and securities business. At the same time, new requirements for blockchain payments were introduced, including for cryptocurrency exchanges.
