Hello friends,

This morning in Davos, in the canton of Graubünden, where those days is hosting the WEF (World Economic Forum) that is welcoming the World’s leaders from Governments, finance and industries, Mr Thiam Tidjane, the CEO of Credit Suisse said:

“Being Swiss is a huge advantage”

He named the Swiss stable political system and excellent strategic geopolitical and geographical position as the main positive features.

In addition I would like to share with you the fact that he interestingly commented rather positively on cryptos, when asked about Bitcoin by a Journalist. He said:

“I am a fan of Blockchain technology, also I believe that digital currencies have a future”

That is rather strange for a bank CEO to comment that positively on the above subjects, he clearly was not able to evidently appear too positive on those, however he did say he favored cryptos and believes in their future. Let the cryptocountry grow.

tiptop

Thanks for posting about Davos! I have to give the World Economic Forum credit - they've actually been surprisingly progressive about blockchain. At the 2017 event, they even sponsored some discussions about blockchain technology (I think it was part of a larger series on what they were calling the "Fourth Industrial Revolution"). Here's a link to a blockchain white paper that the World Economic Forum (WEF) published in 2017: https://www.weforum.org/whitepapers/realizing-the-potential-of-blockchain

Hi Dominic, thanks for your comment and link. I have been following indeed the Fourth Industrial Revolution narrative and I can say its exciting. Davos participants are talking and that is good for the execution of these innovations. Hopefully the outcome for crypto regulation will be constructive. Let's see. Have you had the chance to participate?
Following you

Thanks for the follow. Agreed, will be interesting to see what happens. For awhile, I was covering tech & innovation for a U.S. media company, and so the whole "Fourth Industrial Revolution" concept resonated with me. As I understood it, this concept covered a lot of very exciting areas, everything from 3D printing to crypto to artificial intelligence to robotics. In some cases, the areas are co-mingling and crossing over. But change is most definitely happening.

Great times to be alive
