Ligel’s Background

Ligel, an accomplished American artist, was born in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, in 1982. His artistic journey led him to earn an MFA from RMIT University in 2013. Currently, he serves as an adjunct professor at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD) and resides in New York City, where he works from his Bronx art studio. Ligel is also finalizing his doctoral degree at Columbia University’s Teachers College, further cementing his dedication to both art and education.
