Life (a simple term) ,by definition it is only the existance of an individual in this world but still so complicated that even today we dont know wt is the purpose of being alive.
To be honest i dont think life needs a purpose ,being alive is a great privilege and instead of worrying ,we should enjoy it.
If we look at other lives on this planet , they don't serve any purpose.They are not even looking for a purpose they simply live their life to its fullest.
Some of u might say they dont do anything other than eating and sleeping but its not true they too have families and raise their kids just like you or maybe better😛.

For them life is not about money or success , it is just simply about surviving and living.
For you it is about surviving too but your survival has taken a different form. Basic requirement of food and shelter is no longer considered as survival.
To achieve a simple objective of life , u want to choose the hardest way possible.For example , if u want reach your home from office , this obejective can simply be achieved by public transport or a bike or a simple car but you want to do it in luxary car , if u want to make a call u can do it on a cheap phone too but you will want an iphone and it does not end here an iphone is not enough ,you want latest version of iphone which ultimately serves the same purpose as previous one but at a higher price.
And when these objectives are not achieved it sometimes makes u feel like you are loser because you consider these as great achievements .
And funny thing is even when these objectives are achieved you are not happy Because basically all you did is a part of survival.
I mean surely an iphone will make u happy but that is just momentarily after that it wont even feel like an achievement.

No matter how much u have gathered it wont bring u happiness.It will bring you comfort (which is wrongly considered as happiness).

Now i m not saying money is not important cz without it you wont be a able survive unless you are living in a jungle (which will be even harder for you). Money is an important tool for your survival but its upto you how much you depend on this tool.
Life will happen with or without luxrious things ,its just your perspective of things that determines you happiness.
