If I sleep at night with an air conditioner switched on, I would fear that I will freeze to death or wake up frozen. I may not.
The major reason I wouldn't like to sleep at night with an AC switched on is because it's not good for our health. Exposure to excessive cold could lead to pneumonia and other health problems.
I rather prefer to sleep with the fan on, moderately set. Especially during dry season, where room temperature at night becomes higher and the room hotter.
If one wishes to use AC then attention should be paid to moderation. But I would recommend fan rather.
Our region is south east asia that is not cool enough by only fan summer time. I prefer to sleep with AC at 26 C ,but air flow is set in moderate. Btw, I'd like to welcome like this post because steemit need to include such a post. Most are crowded in cryptocurrency tag.

I would rather sleep with the both off.
Air conditioners are cool but fear of freezing won't let me.For fans,if I'm directly under it I could wake up with a sore throat,especially if it's dusty.
I'll rather sleep with my windows open and curtains covered.
I could manage a fan in moderation but an AC is a No.
Yeah, it's essential to keep the fan clean to prevent being blown with dust.
Likewise me, I won't sleep under AC and feel comfortable, I might feel that the AC will 'strangle' me to death, Lol. So I would wake up in the middle of the night and turn it off, if I realized someone tricked me to turn it on initially.
