Awareness strategies aimed at parents and teachers to prevent child maltreatment
Child abuse is considered today, a major problem that attacks the physical, psychological and mental health, affects and fractures many houses in the world and deteriorates the social fabric, resulting in the lack of training of an integrally healthy individual . The studies and research carried out on child development, which present the first years of an individual's life, are determinant in their integral formation, in this sense, child abuse can generate fatal consequences that affect adolescent and adult life in the future . Child in training.
Violence in the world is considered a public health problem; The indices of this social evil increase every day, children, women and the elderly are the most affected victims, it is very unfortunate that the former will live this situation at home and at school, by the adults in charge of their education and training. The abuse of children has been known for centuries, probably from man. What has changed is the type of abuse and especially the concept of the social group to which the appropriate treatment for children belongs.
Both child abuse and intrafamily violence are social phenomena that have become true in our culture, although in recent times these behaviors have been condemned by the constitution of some of the most common forms of violence present in our society , many children still suffer from permanent physical, psychological and sexual abuse in their own homes.
As in other parts of the world, in Venezuela, child abuse has multiple faces and the abusers are the same: mothers, fathers, stepmothers, stepfathers, grandparents, siblings, uncles, policemen, educators, officials, teachers guides, the State and people who have no family or emotional connection with the victims.
In Venezuela, as in other parts of the world, several investigations have been carried out on child abuse, but, nevertheless, prevention programs have little focus, which is why it is necessary to create awareness strategies for the prevention of abuse. child, through training. training and knowledge of teachers, parents and representatives, as they are our children, the future of our country as parents, depends on whether professionals, women or men, mothers and fathers are responsible for the future, we have to start from home giving them all the love that a human being deserves and creating the most beautiful feelings and values to be able to turn them into good people, that's why I also recommend:
• Unquestionably, teachers should be encouraged to have a culture of knowledge, where every day you need to know and learn more about the different methods and techniques that are introduced in the pedagogical activity, advances that accelerate and threaten to leave behind the performance of the teacher who resists change. For this, from the school, updating workshops should be encouraged, where the teacher is constantly rediscovering his role as an apprentice.
• Expand information on child maltreatment directed to teachers, through training workshops and professional updating. In this way, teachers can identify possible cases of abuse and thus save lives.
• Carry out information prevention campaigns that help raise awareness in the population. It is suggested the creation of informational billboards in schools, streets and television programs about child abuse, brochures, banners, brochures and, above all, more didactic resources to teach children to detect when they are mistreated.
• It is considered vital to publish the telephones of the competent organizations to receive complaints, since schools and all institutions dealing with children and the community in general must have access to this information for any emergency.
• The Venezuelan state should be more concerned with improving the living conditions of children and, therefore, not allowing abuses to be seen as a natural way of living together. It is necessary to teach children that abuse should not be accepted; on the contrary, it must be criticized and disapproved.
• Develop training and awareness programs for teachers, parents and representatives for the prevention of child maltreatment, through training activities.
OUR CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY, DO NOT LET THEM DAMAGE YOUR LIFE
