Lunar Eclipse

Normally a lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, earth, and moon are in a straight line in the solar system.

But it becomes very rare because when the eclipse occurs, the moon is in the phase of supermoon and bluemoon.

Supermoon refers to the condition of the moon that will look very big because it is in the closest position to the earth in its orbit making the moon look 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than usual.

Some say that lunar eclipses are more common than solar eclipses. The statement is false. In every century a solar eclipse actually takes place about 238 times. While the lunar eclipse occurs about 154 times. But what we experience is different. We tend to often observe or see more lunar eclipses. Is not it? Why is that? Because the lunar eclipse can be observed on some of the earth at night. So we can see and often watch the lunar eclipse. The lunar eclipse lasts longer than the solar eclipse.

The lunar eclipse is an event that occurs where the position of the sun, earth, and the moon are in one straight garus, so that the shadow of the earth covers part or all of the moon. The process of this lunar eclipse begins when the earth is between the sun and the moon on the same line. This results in sunlight not reaching to the moon because it is blocked by the earth.

This lunar eclipse can occur because when the earth is between the sun and the moon in the parallel position as described earlier. In such a case the earth will block the sunlight leading to the moon, so that the surface of the moon will be covered by the shadow of the earth.

The process of this lunar eclipse is longer when compared with the sun, although the time difference is only a few minutes. Just like a solar eclipse
