The sunnah episode 1

The Sunnah. We hear people mention the sunnah but do we know what that sunnah actually means? The sad reality is a large number of the Muslim population don't know what the Sunnah is.
This Sunnah is not what you see from some of the people, if you believe that to be the Sunnah, then you're getting it all wrong my love. " but He keeps his beards and wears his trouser above the ankle. She also wears the jilbab and she uses the niqaab" then you conclude "That's one of the people of Sunnah". No doubt, he can appear to be Sunni but that doesn't make him from the adherents of the Sunnah.. The Arabs say لا تسمع عني بل اسمع مني - don't hear about me - rather, hear from me.. You should not perceive the Sunnah from the actions of some people who are not from its (the Sunnah) people, rather know the Sunnah from its sources which is the Qur'an and the Authentic narrations that has gotten to us from the prophet may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him..

What does the Sunnah mean???
Sunnah according the Arabs means a way of life or tradition. To the Muslims, the Sunnah means the way of life of the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. This kind of Sunnah or tradition is called السنة النبوية - the prophetic way of life or the prophetic tradition.
This path is a blessed path and it is the path every Muslim should follow. For in following this path we gain the pleasure of Allah his love, his mercy his forgiveness and by turning away from it we only gain His displeasure. As it is evident in the speech of Allah the most high and also the saying of the noble prophet Muhammad may the peace and blessings of our lord be upon him.

*قُلْ اِنكنتُم تحبون الله فاتعوني يحببكم الله و يغفر لكم ذنوبكم و الله غفور رحيم.
Say( oh Muhammad)! If you love Allah then follow me ( Muhammad). Allah will love you and he will forgive you your sins and Allah is oft-forgiving extremely merciful.
This is a command from Allah to his prophet, he asked Muhammad to tell us to him to show our love for Allah. Many of the people want love from Allah yet they watch Haraam, listen to haraam, they eat haraam, drink haraam, wear haraam, say Haraam we skip our salawat Allah told Muhammad to say فاتبعوني. "Follow me" but that is not the path of guidance, the path of Muhammad may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Rather they conform with the way of shataan.
Follow the path of guidance oh Muslims. May Allah make us from the people of Sunnah.
