Summer Getaway: A Time for the Sea

Summer. A word that greatly defines relaxation and adventure.

2017 has been the busiest year for me so far. With all the projects, requirements and deadlines to meet, most of us didn't have time for a breather.

And then Summer 2018 comes.

The start of summer is not like any other beginnings to me. Because I've already graduated from a five-year chain that is called college, I'd thought I finally have the chance for a change of pace. But no.

Job-hunting and financial stability comes first. Luckily I already found a temporary job for the whole summer and adjustments to the office are deemed unnecessary because they've been my colleagues for a couple of years.

The department which I currently belong to planned for a summer outing. At first, there was no definite plan yet. And just two weeks before the actual date, everything was decided.

Our Summer Getaway

Summer just had to be an island hopping. (For those who don't know, island hopping is like crossing the sea on a pump boat and visiting nearby islands. Mactan Islands are famous for that.)

We set on foot to one of the islands called Caohagan Island. It's a white-sand beach popular with tourists like Japanese and Koreans. We also saw there amazing shots of seafoods. Some are scary though.

Amidst the burning sun and cool breeze of summer winds together with my colleagues (special mention to @bgie8311, @rasty.demecillo, @rockangels, @starzy, and @jesieca), we've found a way to feel the hotness and coolness of summer.
