Time to kick the sugar habit: Delicious NO-SUGAR-ADDED brownies

Hi Steemians! This is my first post and I am very happy to share it with you.
One of my healthy living goals for my family this year was to cut back on the amount of sugar we consume. Sugar consumption has been in the news recently because we eat a lot of it! And the consensus is that it is definitely not good for us!
I know. You are thinking, “Aw, come on! We can’t completely deprive ourselves of sweet treats!”
So today I would like to share with you one of my delicious NO-SUGAR-ADDED recipes.
I have read lots about benefits of Date fruit.
Dates are very good to eat. They are delicious and nutritious “Apart from the delightful flavor, they are incredibly healthy and confer a tremendous amount of health benefits on your body. They are a rich source of healthy fiber, minerals, and vitamins and can help relieve painful constipation, diarrhea, and other intestinal complaints.”(Health Focus)
For me date palm is not only a fruit, I use it as a natural sweetener. So I put it in my cakes, smoothies, Chocolate Pudding, whole meal granola bars..
Here’s one of my family favorite sweet treat:
Walnut Brownies.

Ingredients for 10 persons:
100g chopped pitted dates
100 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
100g dark chocolate
125g butter
2 tablespoons flour
5 eggs
80g chopped walnuts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 180°C.
In a double boiler over low heat, melt butter and chocolate together and remove from heat. Add chopped dates and stir until blended.

In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients.
When the chocolate/butter/chopped dates mixture has cooled add the eggs one at a time and beat after each addition.

Add the dry ingredients and whisk to combine.

Stir in the chopped walnuts.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan.
Bake for 20 minutes or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean.
