Be addicted to steem power. I have found myself addicted to raising my steem power everyday. Sometimes I even question if my greed for more steem power will one day come back to bite me. I’m addicted to milestones. I’m addicted to seeing the steem power number grow every day, inch by inch. Someone came into my discord today asking how to get more votes and I told him to post using busy.org because sometimes they curate those that use their platform. But thinking back, even though that can be successful, the best way to succeed is to depend on no one but yourself. Leave comments on people who engage with their following. I’m sure to a smaller account those upvotes don’t seem like much but this is a lonnngggg game. If you can set a goal to earn 1 steem a day for a year I’d bet you at the end of that year you would be earning twice if not triple as much as that. So to sum it up, to be successful on steem you have to be addicted to steem power and growing the amount you own and engage with the community genuinely as much as possible. Do this consistently for a long enough time and you will be happy you did 😃

Thanks Trevon, this was inspiring. I will definitely not let my success depend on other people, it´s all up to me. Every beginning is hard, especially on a blockchain platform like Steem. If my bags werent full, I would have put all my money into more SP just because its fun and everyone in this community is nice, determined and has similar goals. Let´s win this long term game as early adopters together :)

I love this. Falling in love with Steem Power is the number one tip for succeding here.

It doesn't matter the amount, wheter its 0.001 SP from curation or a big payout on your post. Get excited every time your account grows.

Slow and steady wins the race. Also, the more Steem Power you have, the more Steem Power you will be able to earn in the future.

So just work hard and grind that SP!!!

I'm becoming the same way. I keep buying steem to meet my next milestone. I wanted 6000, then 7000 and then 8000. Now I am anxious to get to 10,000 and I don't have the patience to get their by posting content lol.

This is the way to do it.
SP is the whole fanfare to Steem.
Leverage is what keep you in the game.
I like the goal setting mindset
Let’s say Steem reaches $10.
You will be very happy.
Few will sell cause steem will be expensive
Few or more will buy cause of FOMO.
Either way you are on top.

I do try the exact same thing 1 steem a day but unfortunately I don’t always manage it but I am persistent. Cheers mike

Very correct @trevonjb. This is what I do, which is why I like to post daily because I know that something will come in at the end of the day to increase my steem power.

I can get addicted to this. How should I get started? I've been posting regularly for over 1 year now. I'm trying to grow, but only been able to gain about .8 steem. Should I put money in to buy steem or just keep grinding? Thanks.

Do what you can afford and what you want

I just put a few bucks in. I think it's wise to invest a little. Thanks for your feedback.

Great post and advice but can someone explain to me busy.org and it's purpose? Seems basically just a different view of Steemit?

That’s what it is

So why post on there and not just Steemit?

You post there automatically when you post on steemit. Same with Dtube. When you make a video on dtube, it automatically creates a post on steemit and busy.org

That’s my mindset moving forward !!
