E.M.P.O.W.E.R. The Key to Success

Getting back to some management lessons again today, let’s look at our today’s topic E.M.P.O.W.E.R.

As a general definition Empower means being in charge of our lives and moving ahead confidently, and that’s exactly what I mean in my post, but how is it that you can do this to achieve your specific GOALS in life. Do we always feel confident about the actions we take, and if not what is the reason. Is it the lack of any type of ability within us???

So let’s see the 7 steps of EMPOWERment which can take us to a path of success in any area of our lives.

EDUCATE: When I say Educate it’s not only about the formal education. Well education is one way of keeping yourself up and going in today’s world, but that does not mean people who are not educated do not have success stories, there are ample of them out there who have succeeded in life even after failng in the education systems or having no education.
Educate yourself with the right knowledge required to accomplish your task. Understand well by knowing well on the subject that you are dealing with. Just for an e.g. for someone to set a goal of being successful on Steemit, one first need to have overall understanding and knowledge of this platform to start being operational in the right manner.

MOTIVATE AND NURTURE: Whatever goals you have set for yourself, it’s very important to keep nurturing them, there will be obstacles on the path but you need to keep the motivation going if you want to achieve your goal and be successful. Its not a hard and fast rule that all Successes come with difficulties but yes sometimes they do and in those times its very important to keep the motivation on and nurturing your GOAL. You lose half the battle if there is lack of motivation in any activity that you do.

PROGRESS: Time and again a progress check is required, you need to keep reviewing the steps that are being taken, are they leading you to the path of your Goal, or do they seem to be deviated. A regular progress check is very important, to understand where you stand, if the work being done is the way it should be done. Reflection time and again, makes you move ahead smoothly on the path, so that if there is anything that is not happening in the right manner gets immediate attention and correction.

OPTIMISM: Optimism is very important to accomplish any task. If you keep having doubts on yourself you may keep wandering on the path, it is possible that you may not even be able to take it to the finishing line. Optimism gives confidence and brings positive changes to our mind.

WHOLEHEARTEDNESS: When any task, action is done half-heartedly results are never satisfactory and they never bring joy. It’s very important to put your heart and soul in whatever you wish to accomplish. A half-hearted goal is never accomplished. When you lack enthusiasm and energy in your task the outcome also will be unsatisfactory.

EXPAND: Broaden your horizons while working on your goals, do not have a narrow view, as that will restrict the purview of your possibilities. When you set to accomplish your task with a narrow vision, the outcomes also will get limited, you will not see growth and expansion of your work.

RISK EVALUATION: It’s always good to evaluate the risk in any task that you take up. It’s true that greater the risk will lead to greater rewards too, but at times it is advisable that it may not always be very safe to keep taking risk, the greater the risk the lesser chances of your goals to get achieved. Do the risk management exercise before going ahead with your task.
