Steemit is a social media platform where people from all walks of life come to blog and have fun. However, many ( this blogger inclusive) joined steemit to earn a living and have a better source of income as such, they come with high hopes from what they heard and with great expectations. But once they join steemit, first week, second week, third week, reality sets in and they find out the hard way that being successful in steemit does not come easy and steemit is not a get rich quick outfit where you register, post any garbage and see money doubling by the hour. When such reality sets in, many folks start talking rubbish against steemit and blaming top steemians who have worked their way to the top, saying steemit is fraud or favors only those at the top, more like "the more you look the less you see". Those folks keep wining because they could not reap where they have not sown.

However, some steemians keep making it to trending as their post is always attracting many comments, upvotes and followers thereby raking in majority of the reward pool. You could cal them the successful 1% out of thousands of bloggers whose posts never get noticed or make it in hot & trending. One may wonder why such and if its true that steemit is for the few. The answer is no and below are the reasons why some steemias are more successful than others.

• Free mindset- Successful steemians join with free mindset to have fun and create good contents as such, they did not put money first. They kept working hard daily, making friends and later success started following them

• Consistency- No short cut to success. To understand the secret of a successful steemian, go to their blog, follow them and always read their post plus drop reasonable comments. Usually most successful bloggers in steemit post on daily basis if not multiple times a day as such, their blog get to many folks who fall in love with their contents, there by following and upvoting them. By being consistent, you get noticed and make many friends along the way who will usually repay the gesture by visiting your blog posts.

• Quality content- Successful steemians do garnish the steemit ecosystem with great quality content. You can confirm this by checking out those who are always trending and read the kind of consistent quality content they share and compare with yours. It is not by quantity or volume of the post but by quality of its contents. Ensure you write short and interesting contents by going straight to the point so readers do not get bored along the way.

• Relevant tags- To succeed in steemit, you cannot compete with extablished steemians in very popular tags. Find a less busy tag and share your posts there where it can be seing in hot and trending. Going to popular tags like steemit, busy, steem, cryptocurrency, life etc will make your post dissapear as they come. More so, use related tags which gets attention of the audience you targeting. Do not post on food and tag bitcoin , or health and tag politics. Ensure your posts are directed to the right tags.

Using Bots- If you are a minnow and you are sure of creating good contents that gets loss in the pool as you post it, many top steemians has found a way to help ensure your post competes with posts from top steemans in hot and trending sections. Many new steemians do engage in so many competitions for minnows and with their innovative spirit win valuable SBD's. This usually helps them gain popularity quick and boost their morale.

Keep to the rules- Most successful steemians started by following the rules and ensure they do not plagiarize or copy and paste other peoples work. More so, they ensure they avoid folks who request others to follow 4 follow, resteem 4 resteem and spamming peoples comment section with irrelevant post links or begging for upvotes. This acts usually annoys people who hitherto might wanna come upvote a post. Such folks never grow in steemit.

Invest in steem- Those who succeed here are in the habit of investing in steem by powering up and not power down unnecessarily. Most folks even bring in external funds, buy up steem when its cheaper, power up and engage in some beneficial ventures like delegating/leasing their steem for interests thereby benefiting from other streams of income here even if they are not skilled bloggers.
