Living in a stress free world

A song with a Sitar started playing as I began writing this title, how apt. Sitar from the land of meditation and yoga. So before I go into that, perhaps let me start from the beginning.

I'm Stressed, REALLLY stressed, so stressed in fact my entire body has begun reacting. Firstly it was sleep issues, then stomach issues, which i pronounced leaky gut, then rashes, and finally it's me developing alopecia on my face, and my bodies bloating like some type of balloon. So finally it was time for me to do something about it.

All these signs pointed to stress, and lots of it, and since god knew how to get me, by hitting me right in the vanity nuts, well, I had no time to lose! Stress does have its place, but an overabundance disables activity and is counterproductive. Perhaps Stress isn't the correct word, to use as this may not be the appropriate attribute which actually enables motivation. So I thought perhaps a good exercise would be to write out the optimal situation regarding a stress free life and maybe allow myself to get some perspective on what I was doing wrong or potentially find ways to improve my own situation.

What would it look like then.

  • Well let's eliminate financial concerns straight off the bat.
  • Sleeping issues also, so everyone would have a perfect nights sleep.
  • Concerns about housing eliminated - Safe and equip abode.
  • Worry about food and water and how to sustain yourself, would no longer be a issue. Nutrition well taken care of.
  • Family worries, all concerns related to family would be negotiated and seen to.
  • Health concerns would be addressed and resolved immediately.
  • Physical health addressed - Body healthy as may be
  • Spiritual health addressed - Spiritual connection addressed and dealt with.
  • Emotional and Mental health addressed - Addiction/Anger/Resentment/Emotional Pain/ Etc/Concerns resolved and rebalanced appropriately as may be.
  • Optimal routine managed
  • Relationships/ friends and socialising.
  • Determining direction in life resolved
  • Connection and understanding of connection to all lifeforms and the universe
  • Enjoyment and fun/laughter
  • I'd always have access to cake.. ahhhg candida screw you!!
  • Connection to Nature and harmonising with our environment - More swimming in the ocean.
  • Living our own potential and purpose whatever that may be
  • Proper communication with others and expression of self
  • Sexual and interpersonal fulfillment
  • Use of time to in areas which fulfill
  • Service and union with others
  • Limitless and complete ability to help others
  • A lack of worry for harm
  • Concerns of Death addressed
  • Musical areas of life and sound addressed
  • Sensoray optimisation.
  • Ability to travel to any point in time and space and perceive all known realities ( ok thats lofty )
  • Complete understanding, knowledge and protection
  • A ability to be liberated from restraints in all forms
  • Contentment and Happiness joy and bliss
  • Ability to assert your needs and have them addressed appropriately as may be.
  • Ability to accept and listen to others understand your essential nature.
  • Appropriate application level of stress

Ok so those are some lofty goals and ideals. I wrote that and felt just tad discouraged, I'd like to instead attempt to see what traits and applications I could perhaps begin to apply to my own situation.

So what to do... Well I just plugged my earphones in and started listening to 'Ben Harper & Jack Johnson - Please Me Like You Want To'. The next thing is to eliminate all those stress factors. Ok let me write down some of my own 'Keys to Eliminating stress.'

So here I go.


  • Financial concerns. Write out Financial issues, debts, other looming issues in simple manageable fashion. Write methods to address and resolve. look at optimal solutions and tools and ways in which to address that.

  • Yoga - Start it. Find a good teacher or a great youtube video.

  • Start the Gym or Exercise routine - They have yoga at gym, problem solved ( friend amazingly / and I don't take this lightly, gave me a years membership, super lucky - SAUNA )

  • Meditation - Essential ( meditation is probably the single most useful tool i've found, a great guided meditation class or I can sit alone, home meditation. ) Meditation gives me some clarity and to help understand what I need to change, it also calms my body and perhaps this is useful in enabling the system to function normally.

  • Nature. Being in Nature... Ohhhhhhh nature.. Nature is inside, being connected to the other elements of nature enables a harmonious rebalancing of my system. it lets me to see my true place in the scheme of things and as such allows me to Re organise my thoughts.   • Take time to be around people who make me feel well, develop and work on increasing healthy relationships in all forms. Be around people connect form communities or be involved, have friendships!!!!

  • Offer help to people.. be of service in listening, also be nice to people today ( makes me feel good )

  • Do something nice for myself each day.

  • Write down stress factors - See them, find simple ways to address them.

  • Get out of the house and create structure.

  • Simplify life. Deal with main problems that haunt me. Keep things simple.

  • Do Fun things and nice things for myself.. Laugh more.

  • Music - listen to.

  • Make time to address spiritual emotional time, specifying short periods set aside for such, so as not to be overwhelmed or put off. meditation youtube videos. As much as is comfortable at the time.

  • TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT ISSUES / ACCEPT HELP!

  • finish steemit article, KEEP IT SIMPLE.
