How to handle stress
You have to avoid unnecessary stress
They are all those situations that to a lesser or greater extent depend on us, but that by the force of habit have ended up becoming habits that harm us.
In any situation of stress, you have to ask yourself this question: Can I modify my behavior to reduce it or even eliminate it?
For example: The relationship with people who bring you nervousness or confrontation. We must avoid them and if it is not possible, try to spend as little time with them as possible.
Other examples can be doing too many tasks on the same day, setting too ambitious goals or the feeling of overwhelm that many feel before the traffic and that can be avoided by going on public transport or leaving a little before home.
The better you do your planning, the less likely to stress you. If your stress is linked to emotions such as fear or lack of personal security, you must work inside yourself, modifying your mental patterns.
Modify what is in our hand
If there is no human way to eliminate the cause of stress in any way, at least let's try to reduce it, modifying some aspects.
It has been shown that if we keep negative feelings such as anger, frustration or fear we will feel more and more stressed, so we should be free to show our emotions.
Acting with assertiveness will also serve you. Starting each day, visualizing ourselves from the calm and focusing on what we can control, also considerably reduces nerves and stress.
On many occasions, anticipating our behavior and not acting reactive, can produce a tremendous transformation in your day to day.
Adapt when there is no other choice
There are things that neither you nor anyone can modify. In the face of the inevitable and immovable, the most intelligent is adaptation. This ability is known as resilience and whoever possesses it builds a powerful character.
There will be many situations that will escape your control and the only thing you can do is accept them and reinvent yourself, since sometimes they will be able to disrupt you in a profound way.
Life is full of circumstances that are beyond our control, but if you know how to get a positive reading of each situation, you can live it much better and also learn lessons for your personal development.
Look at things from different perspectives as you have been used to, modify your rules and get out of the routine,
When we face something that has no remedy, after an emotional tension we usually feel a sense of emptiness and we realize that the important thing is never what happens but the attitude we take about it. To return to a state of peace and balance that we have lost with stress, many times we must return to recover small pleasures that we have forgotten when we are in the vortex of the obligations to which we submit.
