Street Photography: Market photography, ตลาดเช้าที่หนองคาย
This is my entry for streetphotography hosted by @juliank.
The morning marketing in Nongkhai, Phochai market, is full of activities every morning. There are amazing arrays of food and household utensils, clothes including shoes and handbags,etc. I have my favourite fresy made tofu lady. She makes her tofu fresh each morning. Her tofus are free from any added chemical, flour and sugar. She also has deep fried tofu. I am addicted to her tofus.

Today there are some new stalls selling interesting things, lots of vegetables and cheap bananas, Thai sweets packed in small plastic bags. My other favourite stall is mushrooms.
ตลาดเช้าที่หนองคายเป็นตลาดที่มีของขายมากมายหลายอย่าง ตั้งแต่อาหารสด อาหารแห้ง เครื่องใช้ในครัว ของใช้ในบ้าน เสื้อผ้า รองเท้า กระเป๋า หมวกและเครื่องสำอางค์ มาที่เดียวสามารถชอปได้ทั้งวัน นี่เป็นตลาดที่คึกคักมากอต่เช้ามืด บางคริบครัวมากินอาหารเช้ากันที่ตลาด. เพราะมีอาการร้อนๆ ทำใหม่ๆตลอดเวลา ในตลาดจะได้เห็นคนทำขนมขายด้วย ส่วนรอบนอกเป็นร้านค้าหลายสิบร้าน ทำให้เราเดินดูสินค้าใหม่ๆที่เป็นที่นิยมของคนที่นี่ได้อย่างเพลิดเพลิน

Very interesting photos! I liked that the green is sold with roots. It's much better on either side than when its roots are cropped. We have only sell trimmed greens ...
I also like to watch bazaars, there is another situation. In general, you can see interesting products that are not in stores.
And, naturally, it is very interesting to see the bazaars of other nations.

Have you ever eaten tadpoles? If so, how do they taste?
No, I dare not! But people here thinks they are very tasty when cooked with coconut milk, herbs and chili paste wrapped in banana leaf and steamed for ten minutes! Perhaps it would taste like steam spicy fish!
I don't think I would be brave enough either!

What a wonderful market. I just got back from our big one in the city I live and it does not compare. We have tap dancers and hula hoopers and all kinds of dumb distractions, not as much good, fresh foods. It is more like a shopping mall. :(
But some people prefer to shop in an air conditioned mall even though prices are much higher.
We have many modern markets like that too.

I need to plan to visit Thailand again. For now, it just have to be some Thai restaurant.
Thailand is just a big stone throw away from Singapore! But this hot season is too much heat even for me! So, if you go to the seaside in this season, your skin would become like charcoal black!
Yesterday and today rain but now I'm perspiring as I type.
By the way, I heard some months ago that you did have a meeting of some group in Bangkok.
Next time when you are coming for a meeting here, do drop me a line. I would like to meet people from other cultures, or join in the meeting or conference.
