RE: Only in Idaho

Thank you so very much for this photo of the North Idaho Trading Company. It made me smile and brought back so many wonderful memories. I lived in Sandpoint for 5 years and made the (mostly) beautiful drive down I-95 to I-90 to visit Wallace. I made that trip in all seasons, and while it was a challenge in the middle of winter, it was also exhilarating and, to my eyes, gorgeous (I love snow). When my parents visited me out there, a highlight of their trip was a day in Wallace, and my Dad still proudly wears his bright red Oasis Bordello Museum baseball cap!

I had to leave Sandpoint to live in the Chicago area (long story which I will blog sometime - I’m a freshly hatched minnow and this is my first ever comment). But this reminds me of all the things I loved about that part of the country: the evergreens, the mountains, the nature, the deep sleepy winters, the long dry summer days, the dark skies filled with stars, the relatively clean air and water, the moose, the skiing, the long bridge over Lake Pend Oreille and the drive past Lake Coeur d’Alene on my way to Wallace.

Wow... all that musing from just your one photo of those stuffed beasts. Yep, only in Idaho - though Montana has its share of taxidermy interior design as well :)! Thanks again for the memories.

Congrats on your first comment! I gave you the biggest upvote I could because I know how slow it can be to get started.
I haven't had the pleaure of living in Idaho, but with fire crews I've been to every corner of it from top to bottom. It's a truly beautiful place.
