As many Steemians know, Cubais a photographer’s dream. Their culture is quite interesting being a complex mixture of different influences from European and African origins. Cuba is also a treasure trove of art, music and cuisine. Fortunately, in recent years many Cuban artists and musicians have been granted greater freedom to travel abroad to showcase their talents.
These photos were taken in Old Havana during my visit in November 2016, which happened to be during US Presidential Election and just a couple weeks before Fidel Castro’s death.
Interesting Times.

Thanks man! That guy was so cool, and not just in his playing, suit, tie and shoes! So kind. I wish I took more musicians... must have been drinking, listening and dancing too much.

Awesome pictures bro! You have some audio from what I remember. You should post those.
I do have audio of the private performances. That is of the female violin quartet . I need to invest some time on Dtube and Dlive to see what is the best to post those. So much talent in Cuba!

Great memory brotha. I completely forgot as I do have some snippets from F.A.C., both videos and photos. There were some cool art installations as well which I need to post.

I still need to get to Cuba before the Western world corrupts it! Your pictures are awesome!
So true. They were tightening it up again when we were leaving (even before we got there) obviously they knew Fidel was (or already had) passed. That coupled with what Trump has done should give you time to still visit before it become corrupted!
It is on my to-do list! ;)

It's reflecting as people having great time and deep dived into the essence of music, and in my opinion these kind of environment really creates great essence for sure.
And in first picture it's reflecting as that man is really happy while playing those instruments and that smile hold the essence of satisfaction.
In second picture it's reflecting as great musical Collaboration and different musicians instrumentalists are joined.
