It takes a big man to admit his mistakes, and I'm a big (fat) man, so I guess I have to admit it. I was wrong about Stratis. It was a good week for Stratis, with the news of two ICOs launching on its platform in the coming weeks, Stratis is pushing for an all-time-high.
So starting with Stratis, let's take a look at the players for the week:

STRAT - Stratis
Ah, Stratis. I really thought this coin had died after the whole Microsoft-loves-Stratis appeared to be a big nothing burger and the coin displayed no visible growth for months. I had given up on this coin, and even when it hit the $10 mark, I attributed it to total market cap growth, not the strength of the coin. Well, I stand corrected. Here's what Stratis has going for them:
- An awesome sidechain/smart contract system. Any applications or system built on it doesn't necessarily have to exist on the main blockchain, which prevents the threat of the "whole thing going down", ala Ethereum.
- Two ICOs coming this month, and I hear at least 5 or 6 more are on its way this year. Every successful ICO will cause an absurd surge in prices.
My personal take - Stratis is still undervalued for what it is. Congrats to the hodlers, we're going to $100.

Well, I can't say that I don't envy the people who bought Antshares at 20 cents. NEO hit $100 and is lingering, and I think $200 is not out of the question. Here's my protip - buy NEO, get a wallet, mine GAS.
XRP
Coinmarketcap flexed by deciding not to include Korean prices on the Ripple prices displayed on its front page, but Korbit has XRP at 4,000 Won. That's roughly $3.50. We're not seeing much of a correction on either end, which leads me to believe that the prices discrepency (as it tends to) will normalize upwards. With Rumors of Western Union, Uber, and Amazon floating around, XRP is a hodl coin, for sure.

How much neo is required to mine gas and has it been worthwhile for you? Always remember ripple technology adoption doesn't require ripple currency. I'm still bag holding stratis so hope it goes to the moon and soon.
You can mine gas even with a single Neo. The rewards are not bad. I held 35 Neos for about a month for 1 and a fraction of Gas. That's just free money, can't complain about that.
Ripple tech doesn't hinge on XRP...you're right on that, but that doesn't mean the general assets of Ripple (XRP) will gain with Ripple's gains.
And lastly...Stratis! I think it's going to hit its stride in 2018.
