The Man Who Dismissed Gods (Part I)
May 13th on a hot Summer day in Jhansi, India. A man is seen approaching the village from the end of a road. Children who spotted the mirage quickly ran into the village filled with excitement.
"Vo yahaan hai! Vo yahaan hai!" (He is here! He is here!). The vision was a black man; balled head, dark brown skin that looked like a chocolate bar as the hot-humid sun gleamed down on him. The heat was so hot he looked like a mirage as he walked down the long dirt road. As the image got closer to the village the lone desert road slowly turned to a trail of beautiful green trees. By this time all the village children disappeared off the path. Some smaller children hid in bushes along side of the road so they can get a closer looks of the big chocolate man.
The man was "Ziare": An Afro American who more like had the features of an African. He had a clean shaved, balled head, a white beard that looked like fire coming off of his face. He was tall and wore a white robe. In his right hand was a tall walking stick with an Amethyst stone imbuned in the top of the stick. He seem to stroll calmly towards the village. As he got closer to the village you could see his calm face, eyelashes that looked like a cow's eyelashes. As he got closer to the village children ran away and towards the village. Funny, he did not look dangerous. His eyes kept their focus on the end of the path, the village. Though his face was humble, it still had a look of seriousness; like he had an important message to deliver.
Ziare was now right outside the village. He stopped and slowly looked around; like he was analyzing a situation. Straw huts were lined throughout the village. No villagers were in sight. Just a bunch of Indian kids peeping around corners a few elder men sitting on porches.
A little boy walked over to Ziare. He was about 7 years old, dark in complexion with green eyes, with slight marks of dirt upon his face. He took Ziare's hand gently, looked down as he walked Ziare into the crowd of people. The children seemed to know who Ziare was. Elders stared in curiosity while the younger adults had worried looks upon their faces. Ziare looked down at the young boy and smiled; as if to be grateful that someone knew of his reasons for being there.
Ziare was now in the middle of village, surrounded by hundreds of people. In his right hand he held a long staff. Inbuned in the tip of the staff was a beautiful Amethyst crystal that seemed to glow as the sunrays shined through it. The children gazed at the pretty stone, elders stared at the eyes of Ziare and young adults gathered chidren, pulled them away from Ziare. The little boy looked up at Ziare with his bright green eyes and smiled. Ziare looked down at the boy then let go of the boys hand. Ziare then raised his head to look directly into the crowed. And he spoke:
I have traveled a thousand miles to deliver you the message. Your country is plagued with rape, sickness and starvation. You have 200+ gods in this country. Why have they not done anything about this? Why do they allow you to live like this?
In gasp the crowd look around and at one another. Ziare continued: I don't come to denounce your gods... yet. I come to meet and speak with your gods; or god. Whomever wishes to speak and represent your people, your country. If you do not have a god to come out to this very spot and speak with me, I ask of a small child to represent your missing god instead. The crowd of people looked around once again, wondering if there was someone who would speak up. They were not looking for someone to denounce the tall messenger. But someone who would provide an answer for Ziare.
Ziare spoke calmy, with no agression, no conviction. He seemed very sincere in his efforts: I am asking for just one of your gods to appear before all of us. I'm sure you ask yourself these same questions. I am not here to turn you against your belief system, or your gods. You live your everyday lives believing in these gods. Believing in this way of life. You believe mankind is suppose to intentionally suffer. But I am here to tell you that messengers from the Universe do not and WILL NOT do this to people of Earth. The Universe, Universal God is about love. And love only. Not suffering, not pain, not death. Your gods are merely children playing a sick joke, having sick fun with ants, insects for there amusement. Ziare knew gods were not real. But they were merely characters in a fairytale.
He continued: I only ask that just ONE of your gods appear and speak with me. If they cannot do this, a child shall represent your gods as a whole.
The crowd remained silent. Then, after silence the crowd began to split from a distance. The crowd split as if someone (or something) was coming through the crowd. Was a god actually coming through the crowd? Ziare knew gods were not real. OR were they? The split in the crowd got closer. Ziare prepared himself to speak to whover, or whatever was coming through the crowd.
The last few people moved to the side, and a little girl emerged through the crowd.
